Pilot Light is in beta. This page describes how the product handles data, consent, AI-assisted outputs, and your rights. It is written in plain language. It is not a formal compliance certification.
Overview
Pilot Light is a builder tool. It helps you define an idea, test it, measure signal, and decide what to do next. Data you give the product is used to deliver that experience. Sensitive content is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties for marketing.
Data we collect
- Account information you provide (email, sign-in identifiers).
- Your CanonIQ diagnostic answers, when you choose to complete one.
- Your release-plan inputs and generated release plans.
- Product feedback and corrections you submit.
- Subscription and billing status (managed by our payment processor).
- Aggregated product usage signals (page views, CTA clicks) when analytics consent is granted.
Why we collect it
To run your account, generate your release plan, improve the product, and meet operational requirements (billing, support, abuse prevention). Lightweight signals improve the product experience without exposing the raw content you submitted.
Analytics and personalization
Pilot Light uses Google Analytics 4 and Amplitude for product analytics. Analytics only initialize after you grant consent. We do not send raw free text, raw CanonIQ answers, raw release-plan inputs, emails, phone numbers, or other private content to analytics. Only sanitized event metadata is sent.
Sensitive data handling
We treat CanonIQ answers and release-plan inputs as sensitive. They are stored under your account, protected by row-level security, and are not used for personalization across other Lumenfolk products without your explicit consent.
AI and automated assistance
Some product experiences use AI or automated systems to summarize, rank, classify, parse, recommend, or generate drafts. AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete or wrong. Important outputs should be reviewed before relying on them. Pilot Light release plans are directional — not professional, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice.
Product profile vs. CanonIQ
This product may build a profile to make the experience more useful. That profile is not the same as your full CanonIQ. Full CanonIQ is a deeper personal context profile available through CanonIQ directly. Pilot Light collects lightweight signals; it does not expose the full CanonIQ output.

Regional privacy-readiness
Pilot Light is built to support common data-protection patterns (US state privacy laws, GDPR-style rights). We aim to honor access, correction, deletion, and suppression requests. This product is in beta and is not a substitute for legal review by your team.
